Sending money with SoleRemit is easy-peasy
We have a simple process, no complicated questions or waiting days for confirmation. Send money to your friends and relatives with NO HASSLE.
It's a No Hassle Online process
Just follow these steps to get started:
Create an account with SoleRemit (if you haven’t already created one). You will be asked for your name, address and phone number.
Choose the country you want to send to: currently we only send money to Ghana.
Choose how you want to send your money:
- Cash pickup,
- Bank deposit,
- Mobile money or
Choose how much you want to send: enter an amount and our low fees and exchange rates will be clearly shown.
Enter your recipient’s details : add a new person by entering their details or choose from a list of people you’ve already sent to.
Pay and relax: Choose how you want to pay – Interac / bank account or debit/credit card - then confirm the amount.
SEND – Your money arrives safely in the destination country.
Money can be picked up almost instantly in Accra from our national offices.
When you opt for Cash Pickup, you will need to enter the recipient’s name, phone number email and what kind of ID recipient will bring. For your security, the name on the ID must be exactly the same as the recipient’s name.
Identification. This must be a government issued ID, such as a passport, national ID card or driving license.
Transaction reference number. When collecting funds your recipient should give their name and this number, which they will have received by SMS (and in some cases email as well).
We will pay the money into a bank account of your choice from our list of participating banks. Send a bank deposit direct to your loved ones’ banks instantly. It’s easy and you can do it on your laptop or mobile.
Here’s how it works
Create an account if you don't have one (you will be asked for your address, email, phone number)
Select country you want to send to (Ghana)
Select how you want to send (Bank Deposit)
Enter the amount you want to send – our low fees and exchange rate will be clearly shown
Then, you'll be directed to another page to:
Enter your recipient's details – choose from a list of people you've already sent to, or add a new person by entering their bank details and full name, phone number, address, and email (optional)
Pay. Choose how you want to pay – bank account, debit/credit card, INTERAC, – then confirm the amount.
Your recipient will be alerted by SMS and email when the money is available, usually within a couple of days.
Send mobile money to your loved ones' phones in an instant
Mobile Money is an electronic wallet service that’s available in over 80 countries. It works on smartphones and basic feature phones offering a good alternative to bank accounts.
How? By enabling users to store, send and receive money using their mobile phone. They can buy things in shops or online, pay bills and school fees or top-up mobile airtime – all from their mobile phones.
We make it so easy to send money to any mobile money account.
How it works
Confirm with your recipient that they have a mobile money account, then:
- Select country you want to send to (Ghana)
- Select how you want to send
- Enter the amount you want to send – our low fees and exchange rate will be clearly shown
- Then, you'll be directed to another page to:
- Enter your recipient's details – choose from a list of people you've already sent to, or add a new person by entering their details: name, address and mobile phone number (in most cases this is the money account number)
- Pay. Choose how you want to pay – bank account, debit/credit card, INTERAC, and then confirm the amount.
- Mobile money usually arrives in your recipient’s mobile wallet within a few minutes. Plus, you and your recipient will be alerted by SMS and email when the transaction is complete.
